Darcey Bussell bows out!  

After becoming the the Royal Ballet’s youngest principal  at only 20 years of age, she went on to master virtually every classical role to international critical acclaim.  Her final performance of Kenneth MacMillan's  Song of the Earth at Covent Garden brought the entire house to its feet - the applause, cheering and foot-stomping thunderous – she will be much missed. 

The Royal Ballet’ principal Ballerinas include:  Marianela Nunez, Alina Cojocaru, Zenaida Yanowsky, Leanne Benjamin and Tamara Rojo not to mention the next generation of uprising stars: Yuhui Choe, Laura Morera, Lauren Cuthbertson, Rupert Pennefather and Steven McRae.

Ballet News
We are delighted to announce Asya Verzhbinsky has recently started to contribute to our ever expanding archive.   Born in St. Petersburg  she spent the majority of her life as a classical ballet dancer before picking up a camera in 1997!  Take the time to look at her fantastic images (backstage, front of house, rehearsals with companies including Royal Ballet, Kirov, Pina Bausch, Birmingham Royal Ballet) – you will not be disappointed!
