Luciano Pavarotti - "feeling stronger"!

Following rumours of his imminent death*, (Italian magazine Diva e Donna claimed one of Pavarotti's daughters said he knew he would "die soon"), manager Terri Robson dismissed the speculation by announcing Pavarotti was recording a new album of classical religious music (due out early next year) and was also teaching. We are pleased to pass on the denial and give you an opportunity to look at our great images of Luciano!

(*The tenor was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July 2006 forcing him to cancel part of his farewell tour)

George Melly dies at the age of 80

Legendary jazz singer, writer and journalist George Melly died in London on the 5th July after a long battle with lung cancer and vascular dementia.  Despite his illness, the jazz veteran continued to perform up until last month when he gave his final performance on the 10 June at the 100 Club in London. John Chilton with whom Melly had performed regularly since the 1970's said 'He was an inspired showman with a lifelong determination to have as much fun as possible'.
