The Donmar Warehouse has announced Jude Law will take the lead role in their forthcoming production of Hamlet. Scheduled to open in 2009 it will be staged at Wyndhams Theatre. Considered to be one of the most challenging of stage roles Donmar artistic director, Michael Grandage, said last week, "Jude is a muscular, visceral actor who has a very direct connection with raw emotion. It will potentially be a very different take on a play we have seen a lot in recent years." This is not only going to be the hot ticket of the Donmar's 2009 season but it will also be a sell out! Led Zeppelin reunites after 27 years
Even their most faithful fans had long given up hope of a Led Zeppelin reunion. BUT, for one night only, to commemorate the life of Ahmet Ertegun, (the founder of Atlantic Records who died last year aged 83) they will be performing a charity gig at the O2 Arena on the 26 November. The bands surviving members, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, will be joined on drums by Jason Bonham, son of their late drummer John Bonham. Tickets, priced at £125 each, will be allocated via a web ballot.
