You might not know the name but the chances are that you have seen her work! Hilary is one of the UK's foremost movement photographers whose work is widely used for advertising, corporate and editorial markets. See the Porfolio Section.  Hilary regularly works with dancers, acrobats, martial artists and athletes. Her unique understanding of the versatility, energy and expressions of movement in a conceptual way is regularly used to illustrate key words such as balance, co-operation, trust and flexibility  Hilary’s trademark is the production of high-quality images that visualise and capture the moment in movement that the less experienced eye cannot see. She literally ‘freezes time’ with her camera! |

How does she do it? Not only does Hilary love movement and dance but she is also a fully qualified advanced dance teacher and brings a thorough knowledge of the different ranges of dance styles, including ballet, flamenco, lambada and capoeira to her photographic assignments. In addition, once a year, Hilary runs a Dance Photography course at Central Saint Martins School of Art. Her courses are attended by students from all over the world and are always fully booked within days of their being announced. “Her internationally renowned photography course continues to inspire emerging photographers worldwide,” (Scilla Dyke, Editor of Animated Magazine). Hilary’s portfolio is not limited to dance and movement, she also has a lifelong passion for wildlife and has recently undertaken several projects relooking at the shapes and forms of plants.    Hilary has worked throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and the USA and her photographs are published and syndicated internationally. She loves to travel, particulary to Brazil, where she can samba and salsa with the local experts! Hilary is a member of the Association of Photographers. |
